Rabbit Air A3 Air Purifier Review

We were honored when Rabbit Air reached out to see if we would be interested in reviewing the new A3 Air Purifier a few months ago. Unfortunately with the timing of PCA and the arrival of the A3 unit, it took us longer than we expected to really dive into the product. We have been using the A3 in our home office pretty consistently for the last 5 weeks and the results are nothing short of fantastic. We'll dive into our experience below, but first, let's give a rundown of what the A3 actually is, what it does, how much it costs, and everything else you need to know.

"The A3 does it all so you can rest easy. Equipped with 6-stage filtration and deodorization, it includes the BioGS HEPA filter, which targets the smallest and dirtiest particles through the use of an advanced and proprietary fiber material. An Activated Carbon filter reduces VOCs and odors, and a custom filter option allows you to tailor the system to your specific environmental needs." -from the RabbitAir website

Rabbit Air's A3 Model has a 6-stage filtration system, comes with a 5-year warranty, and covers up to 1,070 sq ft. The A3 comes in a plain black, plain white, or you can choose an array of beautiful cover panels for only $20 more. Each unit is priced at $749.95 and can be ordered at rabbitair.com.

The screenshots here are pulled directly from the mobile app and ssssshow the Air Quality from the moment the cigars were being cut and lit and then every 30 minutes after. You can see that the odor never went above 1 notch throughout the entire smoking experience, which is to most people the most important measure of a good air purifier for inside smoking. And while the particles raised pretty high throughout the experience, that is to be expected with that much smoke in the air. To me, the best thing about this air purifier is not how well it processes the smoke throughout the time you are smoking the cigar (which is absolutely fantastic), but how quickly the odor dissipates after you finish your cigar. The average time for the odor to be gone has been about 2 hours after finishing a cigar. The mobile app has some fantastic features such as being able to control the entire unit from your phone from power, fan speed, mood lighting, and more. Another great feature is the automatic timer. Once we're done smoking a cigar we will put on a 2-hour timer so that the purifier will turn itself off, saving energy and the life of the filter. Speaking of the life of the filter, there is also a filter life monitor on the app so you know when to order another filter.

Whether or not to buy this air purifier will really come down to 1 thing: the price. $750 is quite an investment, however in my opinion it is well worth it. We have had a number of different purifiers in the $50-$150 range and they have been completely disappointing. I would highly recommend purchasing this air purifier if you are in the market for one or looking to start smoking in your house.
